AAC Clyde Space is working with Iota Technology to execute an end-to-end satellite mission as part of MagQuest, a multimillion-dollar competition to advance how to measure Earth’s magnetic field. The mission will see a 4U EPIC satellites, equipped with Iota Technology’s magnetometer payload, launched to measure the Earth’s magnetic field. AAC Clyde Space will handle the manufacturing, launch, commissioning and operation of the satellite for a 3-year period.

Ymir-1, a flight proven AAC Clyde Space EPIC LINK spacecraft serves as an in-orbit VDES demonstrator. Designed and built by AAC Clyde Space it carries a VDES payload, enabling seamless two-way communication between the satellite and ground-based stations for ship-to-ship and ship-to-shore maritime communication everywhere on the globe

LusoSpace intends to combine twelve  EPIC LINK 8U satellites into a VDES communication constellation, to be launched late 2025. AAC Clyde Space will deliver subsystems sets for 11 satellites platforms to LusoSpace. The EPIC 8U variant will be co-designed by AAC Clyde Space and LusoSpace and built in Portugal. This satellite based capability adds a new dimension to terrestrial VDES, creating a global high-speed ship-to-satellite and satellite-to-ship communication link available for various applications

AAC Clyde Space delivered Mauritius’ first satellite, a 1U CubeSat (MIR-SAT-1), to the Mauritius Research & Innovation Council (MRIC) in 2021. The satellite was designed in collaboration with MRIC’s Engineers and built in AAC Clyde Space’s Glasgow facilities and was delivered to JAXA to be deployed from the Japanese Experiment Module, KiboCUBE, on the ISS.

AAC Clyde Space is supporting global satellite operator Eutelsat to construct its own low Earth orbit (LEO) constellation, ELO (Eutelsat LEO for Objects), to deliver global internet of things (IoT) coverage, enabling objects to transmit data irrespective of their location.

AAC Clyde Space worked with Orbital Micro Systems to deliver accurate and timely weather information to businesses worldwide and enable faster, informed decision-making in the face of weather-driven emergencies.

NSLComm is using nanosatellites to deliver fast, reliable and affordable communications, even in the most remote places on Earth.

AAC Clyde Space delivered The Pico-Satellite for Atmospheric and Space Science Observations (PICASSO) CubeSat, a 3U CubeSat built for measuring the health of the ozone layer. This mission was developed for ESA by the Belgian Institute of Space Aeronomy with VTT Finland.

UKube-1 was successfully launched aboard a Soyuz 2-1b / Fregat-M rocket from Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan July 8th 2014. It was a technology demonstration mission, the first to be commissioned by the newly formed UK Space Agency, a fact we are immensely proud of.  UKube-1 had a broad set of objectives aimed at attracting and training future generations of engineers, encouraging collaboration across sectors and institutions, fast tracking space technology development and engaging with students.
