
Finance Assistant – Uppsala
About this role:
We are looking for a Finance Assistant for our Head Office in Uppsala. This is a great opportunity to be part of a dedicated team where you will have a versatile role and get the opportunity to be part of an international company in the space industry.
As Finance Assistant, you will be part of the Finance team and report to the Group Accounting Manager. The position is a mix of finance and administration so you will handle day-to-day flows and support accounting as well as be the link between Finance and the operations and manage practical office matters.
You work in a structured and meticulous manner, have an eye for detail, take initiative when something needs to be done, and follow up until it is completed. You thrive on clear processes and are also adept at handling practical issues that keep everyday life running smoothly. You collaborate well, communicate clearly, and are confident in being a steady presence in the office.
It is important that you are comfortable with the English language while also speaking fluent Swedish, and that you are aware you will be based on-site in our Head Office in Uppsala.

Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts payable: collecting and compiling documentation, registration, and posting.
- Basic day-to-day accounting and some preparatory reconciliations for the financial statements.
- Reporting in Excel and managing recurring lists/documentation.
- Documenting routines and processes.
- Basic IT administration, register maintenance, and receipts.
- Office management: responsibility for the premises, contact with suppliers (e.g., cleaning, alarms, property maintenance).
- Purchasing of office supplies and similar items.
- Other administrative tasks.
Skills required:
- At least a high school level education in economics.
- Experience with accounts payable and some business systems.
- An interest in working with both finance and administration
- Enjoy working to deadlines and taking responsibility
- System experience and good knowledge in Microsoft Office
- Fluency in spoken and written Swedish
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written English
Skills desired:
- Experience working in Jeeves or a similar business system
- Practical knowledge of GDPR
- An interest in IT/computers
