Technical Project Manager – Gothenburg

About this role:

We are looking for an experienced professional to be our Technical Project Manager. This role is an essential to ensure our team delivers cutting-edge, high-performance electronics hardware and sensors for delivering quality projects and products to our customer.  You will be based in our Gothenburg site where occasional hybrid working is possible.

You will be allocated a key critical project.  Projects must be delivered successfully to contractual obligations with customer, by working with Operations, Engineering and Production.  All activities must be in line with and meet technical requirements, cost, quality, safety and time parameters.  Your close cooperation with subcontractors is also vital.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver project management services in line with Project Management Manual and associated processes.
  • Allocate resource via shared resource team in line with project priorities against schedule
  • Manage subcontractors and suppliers as appropriate
  • Provide input on task estimates to Engineering and Sales/Business Development teams
  • Support activities associated with improving Projects activities
  • Support the team to ensure they adhere to the company systems and processes
  • Ensure consistent and continuous communication between all relevant stakeholders

Skills required:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrates experience of managing complex projects and applying contractual requirements in a technical industry
  • Understanding of key project management competencies including cost, schedule control and risk management
  • Experience of leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team
  • Understanding of quality and other relevant standards
  • Basic understanding of business finance including revenue recognition and cash flow
  • Ability to work with and manage resources, stakeholders, engage supply chain, and customers to address expectations in line with priorities
  • Provide relevant KPIs, information flow and reporting to demonstrate project progress
  • Ability to work independently as well as effectively collaborate within a multicultural team
  • Ability to make good decisions under highly demanding, dynamic environment
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Project or similar software as well as proficient IT Skills
  • Proficient in English, both verbally and written

Skills desired:

  • Passionate about continuous improvement
  • Experience in resource sharing across multiple projects
  • Knowledge of various project lifecycle processes such as waterfall, agile etc.
  • Experience in system engineering, microwave, electrical and/or mechanical design is preferred
  • Previous experience working with small/medium sized compan
