Head of Sales Space Products – UK, Sweden, or Netherlands

We are looking for an enthusiastic and resourceful person who demonstrates the essence of entrepreneurism in their approach to work to lead our global sales team to deliver the growth of the Space Products business line.

This is a Group level role, ideal for someone seeking a new challenge in a growing market segment.  You will feel passionate about the space industry to engage with our customers and operational delivery teams, to develop proposals for the delivery of our wide portfolio of Space Products.   The role will involve essential travel on occasions to attend events, conferences and building relationships with customers.  We are open to hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities:

The purpose of the role is to lead our global sales team to deliver growth of our Space Products business line by meeting order intake targets.  This will involve engaging with customers and operational teams to develop proposals for delivery of our wide portfolio of products.

  • Lead the improvement and delivery of the bid process for Space Products
  • Responsible for staffing decisions and development through the employment lifecycle
  • Identify and develop target customers and sales opportunities
  • Translate customer requirements into clear, tailored value propositions for Space Products
  • Contribute to the development of accurate and complete opportunity forecasting for the AAC Clyde Space group
  • Drive lessons learned initiatives to continually improve pursuit strategies for Products
  • Convey customer requirements to the internal development teams
  • Provide internal support in the areas of strategy, analysis, and best practices
  • Contribute to the development of marketing campaigns and materials for Products


Skills required:

  • Relevant degree or equivalent work experience
  • Previous experience of preparing and winning proposals in a commercial industry
  • Evidences entrepreneur style and continuous improvement for sale processes
  • Demonstrates customers receive excellent level of service
  • Demonstrates focused tenacity
  • Evidences commercial awareness and networking
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to organise self and prioritise workload with multiple projects in dynamic environment with tight deadlines
  • Competent IT skills including Microsoft software
  • Proficient in English, both verbally and written


Skills desired:

  • Relevant space industry experience
  • Previous experience in working with small/medium sized company
