Project Manager (Assets) – Glasgow

About the Project Manager (Assets) role:

The role ensures specified customer-owned and AAC owned assets are managed and maximised against our commercial and licensing obligations.  All activities must be in line with and meet technical requirements, cost, quality, safety and time parameters.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver project management services in line with Project Management Manual and associated processes.
  • Allocate resource via shared resource team in line with project priorities against schedule
  • Manage licencing process and authority compliance (CAA etc) as appropriate
  • Monitor, manage and maximise asset KPI performance against contractual requirements
  • Drive and support improvement activities linked to Project activities/Mission delivery
  • Support the team to ensure they adhere to the company systems and processes
  • Ensure consistent and continuous communication between all relevant stakeholders
  • Provide relevant KPIs, information flow and reporting to demonstrate project progress

 

Skills required:

  • Relevant Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience of understanding and applying contractual requirements
  • Demonstrates experience of managing multiple complex projects within short timescales and critical deadlines
  • Thorough understanding of key project management competencies including cost, schedule control and risk management
  • Previous experience of scheduling projects/programmes
  • Experience of leading and building a multi-disciplinary engineering team to deliver projects
  • Ability to work with and manage resources, stakeholder and customers to address expectations in line with priorities
  • Experience of managing suppliers, subcontractors and stakeholders
  • Ability to make effective decisions
  • Demonstrates strong commercial awareness
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Project or similar
  • Competent IT skills including Microsoft software
  • Understanding of quality and other relevant standards

 

Skills desired:

  • Passionate about continuous improvement
  • Experience in resource sharing across multiple projects
  • Knowledge of various project lifecycle processes such as waterfall, agile etc.
  • Relevant project management qualification such as APM PMQ or PPQ.
