An Manufacturing, Assembly, Integration and Test (MAIT) Engineer is required to expand our team to support an increased customer demand and growing order book. This is a full-time role for an engineer who can work to deliver our next generation of products and satellites.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Review new spacecraft designs for implications and impacts on the satellite AIT phase
  • Participate in activities within the spacecraft system and sub-systems MAIT phase
  • Participate in all spacecraft system and sub systems environmental tests: Electrical, Mechanical, Thermal & EMC
  • Review initial test results and raise Non-conformance reports when necessary
  • Produce test plans/procedures and report summary
  • Feedback lessons learned from AIT phase to future projects

Skills required:

  • BEng or higher degree in Engineering or related subject or equivalent experience.
  • Industrial experience
  • High level of practical `hands-on’ application of engineering
  • Experience in using instrumentation and automated software for test
  • Previous presence during thermal, vibration and/or shock test campaigns
  • Experience in investigating system level problems and resolving defects
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the drive to complete tasks on schedule
  • Able to manage time, work within a team and work autonomously when required
  • Excellent technical writing, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexibly and apply oneself to problems outside of core competencies as required by a small, fast-growing organisation
  • Willingness to travel for extensive durations during test and launch campaigns
  • Fluent in English, written and spoken
